A character-based (and rather lovely, we think) e-learning module for the Type 1 Diabetes Network

When the not-for-profit Type 1 Diabetes Network approached us to develop an interactive e-learning module to educate health professionals about what it's like to live with the condition, we couldn't wait to dispel the myth that e-learning is just a game for the big players.

The character-based module takes users through a day-in-the-life of three people living with the condition, their stories brought to life with expressive illustration.

To encourage learner engagement with the content and characters, we developed a variety of interactive screens from scratch using Flash. SCORM compliant and completely XML driven, the module is as maintainable and extensible as it is beautiful.

Further proving you don't need big bucks to deliver e-learning, we implemented an open source Learning Management System with custom interface to allow the network to monitor completion of the module and evaluate its success.
