lara vs. the savage pack

midnight juggernauts are well groovy!

this, amongst some previous posts, has inspired a whole new category for this blog: stop motion (!).

i am loving that old school video techniques and tricks - such as stop motion and single shot filming - are finding their way back into validity. hmmm.

sadly some trees found their end for the purpose of this vid... (shot frame by frame, then re-shot using over 2000 printed pieces of paper)... rip trees.

one day on earth

incredible stop motion work...

60,000 pictures

beautiful stop motion piece celebrating 50 years of olympus:

...this is the olympus PEN story in stop motion. we shot 60.000 pictures, developed 9.600 prints and shot over 1.800 pictures again. no post production!

mykonos

a little old now but beautiful in its stop-motion low-fi loveliness!

left: mykonos, by grandchildren (sean pecknold) for the fleet foxes

paperthin

a touching and nicely crafted music video for pete lawrie by hettie griffiths. not a bad song, either!

griffiths is a third year motion design student from cardiff... some more work (and behind the scenes images) here.
